Anteprima Amarone 2018: 50 years of Valpolicella DOC and 50 years of Tinazzi.
The Tinazzi Family is proud to announce that the winery will attend the edition of “Anteprima Amarone 50° on 3-4-5 February 2018 at Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Piazza Bra, Verona (Italy).
Not only is this occasion the 50th anniversary of the Valpolicella DOC appellation, but also it will celebrate Tinazzi’s 50th year of activity. The winery was founded in 1968 by Eugenio Tinazzi and his son Gian Andrea, at that time only 18 years old. During the years the winery has grown quickly to become a national and international point of reference for the production of high quality wines from Valpolicella and Lake Garda. Nowadays Gian Andrea’s children, Giorgio and Francesca, help their father manage what has become an important group of wineries with estates and production plants in Veneto and Puglia.
“Celebrating our 50 years of activity together with Valpolicella DOC’s 50th anniversary is a great honor for us and fills our hearts with joy”, comments Francesca Tinazzi during the organization of this year’s celebrations, while her brother states that “this special anniversary will give us even more enthusiasm to bring our brands and Valpolicella wines to very high levels. After solidifying our position in various international markets, we are fine-tuning a few interesting projects and initiatives to develop our market share in Verona: you will hear about us during the next few months.”
Revealing the wines that will be presented during “Anteprima Amarone 50°”, owner Gian Andrea Tinazzi explains that the winery will not present the difficult 2014 vintage since it would not respect the company’s high standards, but will present a brand new Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from the recently acquired estate “Poderi Campopian” in Cavalo, in the heart of the Classico zone of Valpolicella at 600 metres above sea level. “Poderi Campopian is for us a source of pride: in 50 years of activity we achieved important accomplishments and the wines of this estate represents our commitment and passion. With Poderi Campopian we celebrate our path, offering a limited production and an exceptionally high level of quality.”
The wines that will be presented during “Anteprima Amarone 50°” are:
Ca’ de’ Rocchi – “La Bastìa” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2013
Poderi Campopian – “Marziale” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2012
